Chloe Chrisley Shares Why Todd and Julie Chrisley Adopting Her Was the “Best Day” of Her Life

Chloe Chrisley knows best.

That’s why the 11-year-old—who is the biological daughter of Todd Chrisley’s estranged son Kyle Chrisley—can easily identify her favorite memory, which is the day her grandparents Todd and Julie Chrisley officially adopted her as their own.

“It was a good day,” Chloe recalled to her sister Savannah Chrisley on the July 23 episode of the Unlocked podcast. “The best day ever.”

And Chloe could remember every detail of the day in 2016 that her adoption became legally final. In fact, she even noted she missed part of school for the court date and a celebratory breakfast with her family, which also includes siblings Lindsie, 34,—whom along with Kyle, Todd shares with ex Teresa TerryChase, 28, and Grayson, 18.

“I was scared to go eat breakfast because I thought I’d be late for school and I was too scared,” Chloe recalled. “But then I was like, ‘I should go because I haven’t eaten breakfast but then I should go to school because I need to do my school work.’ But we didn’t even do anything that day ‘cause it was a pajama day.”

Chloe—whose biological mother is Kyle’s ex Angela Johnson—also remembered a silly moment from once she arrived back at school for the theme-day.

“I brought a onesie,” she added. “And my clothes underneath was a dress so I had to go change in the bathroom.”

The day was memorable for the entire Chrisley family, as Savannah—who currently has custody of her two youngest siblings amid her parents’ respective prison sentences—couldn’t help but gush over her sister’s special moment.

“I will never forget that day,” Savannah, 26, added. “I remember you were just so happy and dad was just sobbing.”

The siblings also discussed how Chloe feels under the care of Todd and Julie Chrisley—who were sentenced to a combined 19 years in prison after being found guilty of federal fraud charges and hiding their wealth from tax authorities in 2022. (Julie’s sentencing was overturned last month and she now faces resentencing, while Todd is currently set to be released in 2033.)

When Savannah asked Chloe if Todd and Julie made her feel loved and safe, the 11-year-old had an enthusiastic reply.

“Yes,” Chloe assured, before adding later, “They’re my parents.”
